Dianne,
I would have never imaged after my initial assessment with you that you would become more than just my trainer and that our time together would lead to a friendship. You have pushed me and never allowed me to quit, even when I tried multiple times. Soon after I started training with you I became pregnant. You stayed on me and pushed me to work out until a few weeks before I delivered. I was back training 8 weeks after I delivered. Starting back was totally different. My emotions were everywhere. I no longer had the time I once did, nor the motivation, and was faced with trying to choose between mommy time and cardio; it was hard to find balance. And while it's still a struggle and I am still trying to find that balance, I know that Monday’s and Wednesday’s are my time with you.
The pictures I included are: my last workout before I delivered, my son at 2 months and my 1st workout after I delivered.

Dear Dianne,
Your Monday motivations, petty Dianne-isms, eye rolling and extra push when needed, helped me to see and achieve beyond my self-imposed limitations. Who would imagine that at age 68 I would be into bodybuilding!? Well, I do believe that age is just a number and it’s really all about the mind-set and willingness to persevere! I have never looked or felt better in my life!

There is so much that I could say about my coach Dianne Brown. For the past two years, she has patiently dealt with my foolishness, (LOL). I’ve been on an emotional, mental and physical roller coaster and she has hung in there with me through it all. Dianne, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuing to believe in me!! What can I say about Dianne? I don't even know where to begin. I believe our meeting was written in the “Good Book;” God had a plan for both of us. I met Dianne about one year ago and was very frustrated as I felt that previous trainers weren't listening to what I wanted. Since Dianne took me on as a client (and friend), not only am I developing the body I want, I'm in love with my reflection in the mirror. It has been quite the experience having you as my trainer. You are always authentic, which makes it easy to understand you as a person and to understand how your mind works as it relates to health and fitness. I appreciate you for never shielding who you are to make clients comfortable. Being yourself allows me to trust your critiques and trust that you truly want what is best for your clients/me as people. This transparency is unparalleled and refreshing. I know without a doubt that if you say something positive about my progress, physique or strength that it’s real and that you aren’t just saying it to appease me. The only reason this is possible is because you are always unapologetically you.
Thank you for caring about my wellbeing. I appreciate how invested you are in my health beyond just emailing a meal plan and seeing me during my sessions. You update the plan regularly, answer all food-related questions, help me find substitutions when something is wrong (i.e. not getting enough fiber/needing healthy fats), and even check me when my check-ins are not up to par. Above all, you are always willing to give motivational words when I am not satisfied with my current physical state.
